AFY MOBILITY INDUSTRIES SDN. BHD. (AMI), formerly known as Kawasaki Motors Holding (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. was established on 23rd March 1992. Since the establishment, the company has been in the industry and actively engaged in the business of manufacturing and distributing motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, jet skis, ATV, mule, RUV, UV, power products, spare parts and accessories as an exclusive and sole franchise holder in Malaysia and Brunei. AMI has also established itself as the market leader in Malaysia for Motorcycles above 500cc since 2008 until today.

THE MILESTONE
At time of inception, AMI has been the investment holding company for multiple business units under our subsidiaries including the handling of Kawasaki brand consumer products which includes gas turbines, lubricants, motorsports merchandise, apparels and genuine parts. Today we have added further globally known brands to our portfolio to diverse our revenue streams to include bicycles, mopeds and electric mobility.

AMI THROUGH KMSB OBTAIN ITS ORIGINAL MANUFACTURING LICENSE OF MOTORCYCLE FROM 110CC ABOVE ISSUED BY GOVERNMENT OF MALAYSIA SINCE 1971.
In 2007, the whole operations moved from Segambut, Kuala Lumpur to a new facility located in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, Selangor.
Located in the central region of Malaysia in close proximity to the nation’s capital of Kuala Lumpur, Glenmarie premise is at the highly active business centre with 28KM from Kuala Lumpur city, 50KM from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and a mere 30KM to the container port of Port Klang, the largest sea port in the country. With the various parts suppliers and vendors available within close distance to our factory, we are ideally located to take advantage of low logistic cost, just in time delivery of parts as well as technical support from partners and vendors.
Housed in a 4 acre facility with an installed capacity of 50,000 units of motorcycles a year from its assembly and manufacturing facility with the establishment of its main office, painting facility, service centre, spare parts centre and training centre. AMI warehouse are equipped with the latest manufacturing and warehousing management solution to handle our internal operations as well as interactions with dealers, satellite service centres and parts suppliers and agents.
THE HUMAN CAPITAL
AMI employs hundreds of individuals with 60﹪ being professionals, accountants and engineers, with predominantly automotive background. Working together with government agencies, AMI has also contributed in the establishment of various initiatives aimed at enlarging the talent pool in our industry by investing in TVET schools and colleges. To date, we have successfully placed hundreds of individuals in the 2-wheel community either as trained technicians or trainers.

FUTURE
As one of Malaysia’s pioneer Large Scale Distribution organisation, AMI has positioned itself as the leader of premium brand products.
Together with our expert team of marketeers, AMI has actively participated in various conferences and shows and have participated in regional and internationally recognised racing series either with our own racing team or as principal sponsors ending with victory as Asian Road Racing Championship (ARRC) and Malaysian Super Series Superbike Champions.
AMI are actively pursuing our vision of carbon neutrality by engaging in active study on electrified mobility and infrastructure. Together with the proactive support and mandate from Malaysia government, AMI has acquired the necessary manufacturing licenses to pursue our goals of developing and manufacturing electrified urban mobility products and infrastructure which we are hoping to be made available to the ASEAN market in time for the global shift of E-mobility by 2025.
Our team of engineers together with our business development units are currently engaging with various technical partners from Taiwan and Asian region to ensure the viability of our plans. With the intention of creating a sizeable community of energy and environmental conscious consumers, we at AMI are prepared to tackle this growing issue and it is our mission to create a perfect blend of Efficiency and Fun Two Wheel mobility solution for all our consumers to enjoy.
